Bali Day 3 and 4

Day 3, we headed out for our rafting trip. It was a long van ride, but it was kept interesting by the bunch of Americans chatting behind. There were 2 Singaporean guys seated beside me (YL and Evon sat up front with the driver).
The 2 Singaporean guys.. one old, another about my age. The older one was a doctor sia.

Anyway, we stopped at a little pit stop for photo taking and a real feel of how high up we were.

I'd like to have chatted with the good looking fella beside me, but I wasn't in the mood for socialising. He spoke with an American accent, so he wouldn't be of the same wavelength anyway.

It was more interesting to listen. Then the driver turned around and asked (with YL and Evon giggling loudly: Girl, you 15 ah?
Biangz......... I don't look that young lorz.

Anyway, rafting started soon. I was scared. Worried. Blech. Thankfully we had 2 guides.

Halfway through the rafting there was a pitstop to rest. We weren't doing much of the "rowing". Our guides were. Heehee... Still, it was a beautiful place.

We had to row the rest of our way after that stop. I worked my arms hard. Might as well do some exercise right?

It was a bumpy ride as promised. We had 2 points where we had to "fall" - meaning we lie down on the raft, grab on tight, and drop a step in the stream vertically. About 4m height. Scared the shit out of me.

Thankfully by the time it was over, all I suffered was a little cut on my thumb. The scar's still recovering. Here we are on the way up for our lunch.

Little did we know it'd be such a very long climb up. It was as if they just couldn't let us exercise our arms alone and made us build our leg muscles.

Mind you, those steps were high and went on for many storeys without railings. So scary. See? Want me to smile properly also cannot liaoz.

On the way back, YL absolutely had to take a photo of this.

You see, the slippers that I brought to Bali were a size too large. They belong to my mum. What I did was swop with YL. Somehow, hers fit me, and she fit into mine. So it stayed that way throughout the trip - till on the way back, after this photo was taken, we swopped one slipper - and forgot to swop back.

We only realised this when we reached the spa place and the ladies started giggling. Oops.

Turns out, our hotel had 2 spas, and we arrived at the wrong one. Double oops.
[I need to add a little note here before I forget: Remember the doctor and good looking fella I mentioned above? Turns out they were brothers. You know which resort they stay? FOUR SEASONS. biangz. I think this life time, that was the closest I got to the resort lorz 'cos the driver sent them back first. Wah. High class place.]

Back to the spa. We 3 gals were exhausted. We needed to rest badly. The free transport came to where we were and sent us to the correct one. First time spa for me sia. The massage was absolutely fantastic. Had a body scrub and mask too. Foot scrub, mini facial, flower bath and used their suana. All for 240000 Rupiah only. To convert to S$, divide by 5.8.

We went to Jimbaran Bay for a seafood dinner, was serenaded (with a little tip) by a small band, and went back to our hotel with the intention of calling the pig out for a little clubbing.

Turns out, we 3 were too damn tired to leave the room when we got back so we settled for lazing around the room.

Day 4 was pretty much about buying last minute stuff then heading to the airport where I was tempted once again with Billabong merchandise. Alas, I went back without a single item. A little disappointed, but proud of myself for not succumbing to the urge. Too broke liaoz. Cannot spend like that.

Still, after this 4D3N trip, I realise that my travel preferences/style is extremely different from Evon and YL's. I'm still glad we enjoyed ourselves and got to relax at last.

2 firsts for me! Rafting and spa-ing. The massage helped me relieve all those tightened up muscles. Unfortunately, all back to normal when I was back to work.

And that's that for the Bali trip.
Today no class so took a little time while doing other stufg to blog.

I've got a non-compulsory marketing assignment to complete. My accounts are still a humongous mess. Needless to say, Social Psychology and HRM continue to be the ones lagging behind. I've had intentions to drop them. If not, then find substitutes on what to study when I fail them.

Yes, I am THAT not-confident of these subjects. It's not like me to think so extremely, so you can only imagine how bad it must be.

Now, time to spend some time settling some band matters. Meeting this Friday, followed by a little KTV session to get together.
Hope all goes well.
