Of travel, shopping and science

YX is going to Thailand this week. Nisa's flying off to Aussie too. YL plans to travel any of these weekends. Evon's been travelling the most - taking off wherever she wants, whenever she wishes. Dearie's buddies are going to Hong Kong - and perhaps himself too.

I don't mean to be bitter, but is July a travelling month? Why is it all of a sudden, when I was the one who wanted to go Bintan first, ended up not going anywhere and everyone else going somewhere? Ah well. Thankfully, it's a luxury to me, so with or without, I actually don't feel so horrible.
Anything that's different would actually do just fine too - like going to the bird park, zoo or night safari. Heeheeheehee... I love animals. Underwater World's too expensive and really not that worth it, but Dearie's never been there before, so maybe we.. no, I will plan a weekend to go there. Just to "explore" Singapore before going out to explore other places outside.

I haven't been in much of a shopping mood lately. I know I said gojane's clothes looked mighty pretty, but come to think of it, it's not like I can wear these clothes daily. Check out the amount of cloth?! I really do not think wearing a halter or spaghetti straps to office are my kinda thing. I honestly believe no one around is going to bother, but I very much prefer to be in my regular clothes with more cloth on them.

Went to Jurong Point yesterday. Thank goodness most people went to the Botanic Gardens for that concert, so human traffic at JP was not as horrible as other times I've been there. When i stepped into the place, I couldn't help but feel like I was stepping into a shopping centre for the first time. Felt like some kind of freak that had been cooped up at home for too damn long. I think it was the couch potato in me yesterday.

Tried to check out some clothes, but nothing caught my eye. Managed to get a new haircut though.. and made me look even more auntie than I already am. Argh.. It's still puffy today. Thank goodness my colleagues are all males who couldn't care less. Wonderful people. I don't even have to bother to put make-up (or concealer!) on at work. It's so easy to work here. Haha! I'm like.. one of the guys.. eeks.

Managed to get back home at 9:30pm. Haven't been following the F1 races lately. I don't like the change of rules.

Anyway, my dad was watching the last 7 laps, but gave up the living room tv for us to watch Alien Planet on Discovery. Rushing home to watch Discovery. Right. Interesting life I have eh?

[There really wasn't much choice of tv last night anyway, and I didn't want to watch a movie too late. Alien Planet is supposedly touted as one of THE shows to watch on Discovery right?]

Much as I am intrigued by aliens and the other unknowns, the show just further proved that I am NOT a science person. I think it was an interesting documentary - with imagination running wild yet with realistic constraints on possible scientific rules. Just... hmm... maybe I'm more used to dinosaurs than totally odd looking gigantic aliens. Hollywood's aliens are not even this odd looking. But it is the whole point. It is to stretch beyond the boundaries of what we always think aliens may look like. Only this time there's a science to it. I didn't understand THAT part of the show though.

No wonder I sucked at science.

I think most music people do.

Oh. I managed to watch all first 12 episodes of LOST at Dearie's place on Saturday. Damn, it is such a fantastic show. The cliffhanger endings are really irritating. I just need to finish the damn show.

Also only just found out last night that season 5 of CSI is the finale. AHHHHH.. NOOOOOO.. CSI is sooooo gooooood......... Thankfully, watched an episode of CSI: Miami last night and it didn't seem as bad as the CSI: NY. Got hope.

I'm such a couch potato.

That's going to end very soon.

Classes re-start tonight. Sigh.
